My Sanctuary: Master Bathroom Renovation

A pure labor of love. I am so happy. So so happy to have a bathroom of my own (meaning not at a resort) that provides me with peace. My old bathroom was a nightmare, so to step into a new sanctuary every day almost brings me to tears.

See below for all the links.

What I liked about our old double sink vanity is that we had a good amount of storage. So with our upgrade, I wanted to make sure we had a vanity that was not only modern but had just as much storage or more. Enter our beautiful mid-century teak vanity with our white quartz vanity top. Look how pretty it is! Talk about an upgrade! Our black mirrors, vanity lights and faucets set everything off perfectly.

I won’t recommend our glass shower door manufacturer because of the amount of problems we had with them (I can’t do ya’ll like that), but if you’re looking for a shower fixtures or shower penny tile and a grout that’s more durable than normal, check those links.

After - Toilet Area

It’s such a small thing, but my two favorite parts about this area are the tiled wall with arctic white grout (it’s my version of a feature wall) and the toilet paper holder. Check out the video tour here to see it in action. Maybe I’ve been out of the toilet paper holder game for a minute, but I’m loving the fact that it’s a swivel holder. The days of struggling to put t.p. on the roll are over. AND it’s very substantial and quite boss if you ask me.

For a smooth and minimal finish on our floors, we went with grey porcelain tile and platinum grout.

After - Tub Area

And finally, we traded up in a big way with a new freestanding tub and tub filler. It’s not quite the claw tub that most of us girls dream about but it’s a good gender neutral piece that most guys can get down with. The black tub also does great job of tying in with the rest of our black accents.

If you’re thinking of renovating your bathroom, hopefully these links helped! Don’t forget to check out our lessons learned video here along with the tour here!
